Dr. Hazar Jaber was born and raised in Damascus, Syria; she attended dental school at the University of Damascus and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1998. Soon after, she married Dr. Hani Eid and moved to the United States.
Dr. Jaber worked at the Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) as an assistant professor in the Department of restorative dentistry. Hazar was more interested in the management of dentistry, so she enrolled in a business management program in health care, where she received an MBA from OHSU and Portland State University in 2012.

Dr. Jaber has been involved with SAMS since 2011 and has led multiple dental teams on their missions to Jordan. She is also the dental committee leader at SAMS, the membership committee chair, and serves on the board of SAMS.
Hazar is a mom of three wonderful boys; the eldest has a form of cerebral palsy where he struggles with speech and learning. Nevertheless, he is a wonderful young man who lights up the world around him.
Dr. Jaber, with her husband Dr. Eid, co-own Happy Kids Dentistry and Orthodontics, a group of 5 dental practices that serve the children of Washington State. Hazar is the company’s CEO, and she manages a team of over 120 talented healthcare workers.
Hazar enjoys hiking in the Pacific Northwest, yoga, meditation, reading nonfiction books, traveling with the family, and exploring new cultures and cuisines.
