Dr. Mohamad Al-Hosni

Dr. Mohamad Al-Hosni is an amazing pediatrician who was born in Damascus, Syria. He completed his medical education at Damascus University’s School of Medicine in 1991. He then went on to do his pediatric residency at St. John’s Hospital in Detroit, MI, from 1994-1997. Following that, he completed a neonatology fellowship at St. Louis University from 1997-2000.

Dr. Al-Hosni currently practices at Pediatrix Medical Group of Missouri, located at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Al-Hosni is actively involved in SAMS, having been a Board Member for 4 years. He has participated in multiple medical missions to Syria, Jordan, and Iraq and has conducted several neonatal educational courses for Syrian healthcare workers. He has also played a role in establishing NICUs in northwest Syria, expanding neonatal services in SAMS facilities. Further, Dr. Al-Hosni has been a speaker at SAMS’ national and international conferences.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Al-Hosni enjoys playing cards as well as playing pickleball and hiking. He values spending time with friends and cherishes his family life. He is married and has three boys named Yazen, Keenan, and Tammer.
